The Sales Specialist is responsible for maximizing the gross revenue and net operating income of SLR communities by developing a strong pipeline of leads, conducting professional outreach, and assisting/monitoring onsite sales teams to achieve and surpass goals set for calls, presentations, deposits, early move-ins and full occupancy. The Sales Specialist travels on-site to communities with the primary focus being on New Jersey communities with some travel to Connecticut, as needed. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conduct sales calls to professional referral partners, organizations, and associations * Utilize SLR marketing tools and programs to generate referrals and leads * Refine and expand upon outreach and marketing opportunities * Train, coach, and mentor community sales teams * Act as a resource/mentor to onsite sales teams, assisting them with on-site sales efforts, managing lead tracking software, and troubleshooting sales barriers  * Support the on-boarding of new Executive Directors and Directors of Community Relations, providing one-to-one training, coaching and support on overall sales execution WE’D LOVE TO CHAT IF YOU HAVE: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred * Minimum of five (5) years sales and marketing experience, preferably in the assisted living field * Able to take both direction and initiative, working independently with guidance but limited supervision * Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and strong attention to detail and accuracy * Positive attitude, energetic, enthusiastic, initiative, fortitude * Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle * Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and help with other responsibilities as may be required * Physical ability to occasionally handle lifting of supplies and assisting with onsite and offsite events, such as moving (pulling/pushing) tables and other furniture and lifting/setting up presentation equipment/materials up to 30 pounds WHAT WE EXPECT: * Teamwork: Promote a positive team spirit and a culture of cooperation, openness, enthusiasm, customer service, and an atmosphere conducive to growth. * Trustworthiness: Demonstrate an acute sense of responsibility and moral integrity with strong follow-through on commitments, inspiring the trust of others. * Professionalism: Provide leadership; take the initiative, handle pressure and be level-headed in emergencies, treat others with respect, excel at project management. * Communication: Interact clearly and effectively with an openness to other people's ideas and thoughts; Demonstrate patience, tact, positive energy and enthusiasm.
