Job Title: Cigar Sales Specialist / Especialista en Ventas de Tabacos (Hispanic)
Role Description:

As a Cigar Sales Specialist, you will be an essential part of our team, providing exceptional service and expertise to our customers while representing our passion for cigars. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, assisting them in selecting the perfect cigars to suit their tastes and preferences. Provide recommendations, answer questions, and offer guidance on cigar pairings and accessories.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about our cigar inventory, including origins, flavours, strengths, and aging processes. Continuously educate yourself about new arrivals and industry trends to enhance your ability to assist customers effectively.
  • Sales and Upselling: Drive sales by actively promoting featured products, limited editions, and special promotions. Utilize your expertise to upsell and cross-sell complementary items such as humidors, cutters, and lighters.
  • Social Media Management: Take ownership of our company’s social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Develop engaging content, such as cigar reviews, pairing recommendations, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and event promotions. Regularly interact with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster a sense of community among cigar enthusiasts.
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality visual and written content for social media posts, blog articles, and email newsletters. Showcase our products, events, and expertise in a compelling and authentic manner that resonates with our target audience.
  • Event Support: Assist in planning and executing cigar events, tastings, and workshops both in-store and off-site. Help coordinate logistics, promote attendance through social media channels, and provide exemplary customer service during the events.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor cigar inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and communicate with management regarding replenishment needs. Ensure that products are properly displayed, labelled, and priced according to company standards.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant regulations governing the sale and promotion of tobacco products, including age verification procedures and health warnings. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, prioritizing the safety and well-being of customers and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Genuine interest and passion for the world of cigars, with a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanour, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Strong salesmanship and a proven track record of achieving sales targets or goals.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation, with a keen eye for aesthetics and storytelling.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of cigar production, storage, and maintenance preferred.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish is a plus.
  • Must be of legal smoking age and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
