Responsibilities
  • Providing support to the store management team with daily operations.
  • Acting as a key holder when required, ensuring adherence to all in-store security procedures, and being responsible for opening/closing the store during shifts.
  • Handling cash transactions, including taking payments, cashing up, maintaining floats, and using the automated till system.
  • Completing necessary paperwork related to financial transactions and end-of-day cashing up.
  • Assisting with routine stock counting, stock takes, product layouts, restocking, and promotional setups.
  • Overseeing the order book and managing customer orders in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Assisting with the staff rota in the absence of the Shop Manager/Assistant Manager.
  • Delegating daily workloads and tasks to both shop floor and workshop teams.
  • Supervising and ensuring task completion, aligning with expectations set by management.
  • Assisting the management team in monitoring team performance, whilst providing guidance and feedback, and reporting strengths and areas for improvement back to store leadership.
  • Supporting the maintenance of a clean, organised, and welcoming store environment.
  • Ensuring all health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Understanding and staying up to date with product features and benefits, particularly new product launches.
  • Actively selling bikes and assisting customers with PAC (Parts, Accessories, and Clothing) attachments to enhance their purchase, which will help in working towards the store KPI targets and contributing to store sales goals.
  • Motivating, mentoring, and leading the team to drive performance and create a positive, customer-focused atmosphere.
  • Ad hoc duties as directed.
