EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma required; Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years as a luxury sales professional.
  • Fluency or conversational level in a foreign language is a plus.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

A Sales Supervisor is a selling position with additional responsibility to support running the store efficiently and effectively in partnership with the GM and AGM. As part of the leadership team, the Sales Supervisor is a step for a Stylist who has the desire to develop their leadership skills and continue their career in management, and or for someone who has experience at a supervisor or manager level prior to joining John Varvatos.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a selling leader, accomplishing your monthly sales goals is always a priority. Leading by example through your styling, quality of selling, CRM, product knowledge and personal client development.
  • In the absence of the GM and AGM you will supervise, direct and support the team to maximize productivity throughout your shift.
  • Maintain security of the store and understand the operations of the store security system
  • During opening the store, ensuring the opening checklist is complete and all store standards are ready for opening. Set and communicate the daily goal for the store and each associate to include selling goals, tasks that need to be accomplished, breaks and any important company communication for the day.
  • During closing the store, after locking and securing the doors, complete the POS and cash drawer closing process, ensure the closing checklist is completed and the store is recovered and ready for the next day’s business. When complete, activate the security system, and making sure the store is secure and locked with no customers or employees remaining inside
  • Assist the GM and AGM in the VM presentation of the store during monthly VM Directive as well as daily maintenance to keep the integrity and standards in place.
  • Responsible for protecting their store keys
  • Comply with all company directed policies and procedures as they relate to the store operations; receiving of merchandise, store opening and closing, cash register transactions, daily cash reconciliation and inventory control
