Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Sales Supervisor to join the team in our Dumfries branch who’s as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7.30am–5pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8-12
Location: Jewson, Kellwood Ave, Dumfries DG1 2JR
Key Responsibilities

In this role you’ll drive sales within the branch and be a key point of contact for our customers - you’ll be responsible for managing customers at the trade counter and in our Decorating Centre showroom, processing sales orders and answering customer queries in branch and over the phone.

  • Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
  • Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson values
  • Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, both face to face and over the phone
  • Understand customer needs and provide proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey
  • Dealing with lapsed accounts while also generating sales with new and existing customers
  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, maintain stock levels and merchandising of stock, to make a great first impression on our customers
  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
  • Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous industry experience would be beneficial for this role - builders merchant or similar
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly
  • Experience in a busy customer facing role with strong communication skills
  • IT literate
  • A positive and flexible attitude
