Skills & Experience
Background in sales support, inside sales, or customer service within shipping/logistics.
Exceptional organisational skills with sharp attention to detail.
Clear and confident communicator (phone, email, face-to-face).
Strong customer orientation — proactive, professional, solutions-driven.
Team player with resilience under pressure and ability to prioritise effectively.
Self-motivated and adaptable to shifting business needs.
Technical Know-How
Familiar with CMA CGM/MacAndrews systems (advantage; training provided).
Understanding of shipping processes, documentation, and regulations.
Proficient in MS Office; able to analyse and present data effectively.
Qualifications
Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent); minimum grade C in English & Mathematics (essential).
Additional shipping-related education (NVQ or equivalent) preferred.

MAIN PURPOSE:

To power the success of our Global Accounts team by delivering best-in-class sales support, data accuracy, and customer responsiveness. As Sales Support Advisor, you will be the operational anchor behind major account partnerships, ensuring quotations, tenders, and performance reporting run seamlessly.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive commercial success through precision: prepare and manage quotations in LARA , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
Be the right hand of the Global Account Manager: support with reporting packs, KPI follow-up, tender preparation, and insights that empower frontline sales.
Keep customers at the centre: respond swiftly to requests, ensure professional communication across phone, email, and meetings, and resolve queries with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Coordinate across the network: liaise with agencies, pricing, haulage, and trade teams to close information gaps and guarantee smooth delivery of customer promises.
Transform data into decisions: run reports, track wins and losses, and present actionable insights to improve sales outcomes.
Safeguard service quality: manage customer complaints with professionalism, escalating only when necessary, and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
Champion continuous improvement: contribute to refining processes, suggesting smarter ways of working, and supporting departmental projects.
Represent support excellence: join internal and external meetings as required, building rapport with colleagues, agencies, and clients.
