Sandvik Mining Sales Support Manager – Loah & Haul – Qld | NSW About the Opportunity The Sales Support Manager – Load & Haul (LOHA) plays a key role in supporting and representing the LOHA business across the eastern states of Australia (NSW, QLD, VIC), New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea. Acting as a critical link between the Product Line, Business Line Management, factories, and customers, this role ensures the successful execution of the Business Line plan in line with divisional and long-term strategic objectives. Focusing on the LOHA product portfolio, the role provides technical expertise, product and application guidance, pricing support, and sales and engineering advice to internal and external stakeholders. As a trusted technical and commercial partner, the Sales Support Manager supports customer solutions and represents Load & Haul through high-level engagement with both global and local teams. Working closely with Account Management teams and other business lines, this role helps identify and maximise sales opportunities and supports sustainable business growth across the region. The role is ideally based in Queensland (Milton, Brisbane) or New South Wales (Heatherbrae); however, flexibility is available across the East Coast and can be discussed during the interview Responsibilities: Champion Sandvik’s EHS Vision of Zero Harm, ensuring full compliance with EHS policies, procedures, quality standards, and the Sandvik Way across all activities. Drive Load & Haul (LOHA) sales growth and profitability across the eastern states of Australia by delivering customer-focused solutions aligned to Division targets. Develop and execute sales plans, objectives, and accurate forecasting for the LOHA customer base, supporting effective stock and product planning. Build, manage, and strengthen strategic relationships with key customers, including involvement in tenders, long-term contracts, and resolution of technical issues in collaboration with Service teams. Grow revenue and margin through direct management of key corporate accounts and proactive business development initiatives. Identify and pursue new market opportunities, promoting the full Sandvik product range and staying current with competitor products and market trends. Lead strategic planning and business development initiatives to expand the LOHA equipment and product portfolio within the Sales Area. Collaborate closely with Account Management, Business Line Management, Applications, and Customer Account teams to identify opportunities, align forecasts, and meet regional customer needs. Analyse and resolve customer issues, balancing Net Working Capital (NWC) with sales opportunities and supporting informed commercial decision-making. Provide leadership and development aligned to the Sandvik Leadership Model by motivating, training, and supporting stakeholders, monitoring performance, and identifying capability and safety development needs. About you: You are an experienced senior leader with at least five years’ management experience, ideally within the mining or construction industry, with strong exposure to Load & Haul operations. You bring a solid technical foundation, supported by a mechanical trade or engineering background and a business qualification such as an MBA or equivalent. Commercially astute and customer focused, you have proven expertise in technical sales management, tender compilation, and negotiating commercial terms, including P&L analysis. You are known for your ability to influence at a senior level, build strong customer relationships, manage business risk, and think strategically. A strong people leader, you thrive in high-performance environments, lead across diverse and cross-cultural teams, and consistently demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
