Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this key leadership role, you will have the opportunity to adapt and implement sales support strategy for our Motion High Power (System Drives) area in accordance with the global support strategy. Each day, you will ensure technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. You will also showcase your expertise by overseeing estimations, bids, and proposals ensuring alignment with ABB standards, strategies and targets.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the Motion High Power division in Canada.

YOU WILL BE MAINLY ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Lead the local tendering team to ensure delivery of high-quality bid submissions. Foster team growth through targeted training and mentoring initiatives.
  • Ensure high-quality, competitive bids by overseeing proposal preparation, risk reviews, bid/no-bid decisions, and validation of commercial, technical, and legal terms.
  • Foster customer satisfaction and team performance through effective resource allocation, KPI monitoring, training, and the development of sustainable customer relationships.
  • Overseeing the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, and pricing) in each offer; and supporting bid/no bid analyses and decisions.
  • Participating in project risk review processes; and ensuring the required technical support and clarifications are provided to the Sales organizations during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers.
  • Drive operational excellence by leading digital transformation initiatives, automating repetitive tasks, and continuously improving tendering and sales support processes.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Experienced Leader in Sales & Management: Over 10 years of experience in sales, sales support, and management within the System Drives & Packaging sector (LV and MV Drives), with strong technical knowledge of large variable speed drive systems and their integration into electrical environments.
  • Customer-Focused and Results-Driven: Demonstrates a customer-centric and quality-driven mindset, with proven expertise in sales support, quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and governance, along with strong time management abilities.
  • Strategic and Mobile Professional: Skilled in commercial and legal negotiations, forecasting, and resource planning; open to travel 20–30% as required.
  • French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
