Responsibilities

Committed to the values of Respect, Accountability, Integrity and Common Sense and reporting to the Branch Manager, you will focus on developing strong customer relationships with our broad customer base. Our customer base is diverse and can include local farmers, primary producers, and trade customers with the focus of your role to provide a memorable experience for all customers either in store or over the telephone whilst:

  • Performing general administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching of goods
  • Assisting customers with pricing and product queries
  • Processing counter sales
  • Maintaining safety processes
  • Assisting with merchandise campaign material
  • Maintaining a welcoming, friendly, and well-presented store environment
  • Loading and unloading trucks, dispatching, and unpacking orders and deliveries
  • Supporting the advisory and branch network tea

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a team support role in a busy environment. You’ll have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture, ideally with knowledge of animal health and rural merchandise. In addition, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience working within a sales environment
  • Effective verbal communications skills to build solid long-term customer relationships
  • A proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly
  • Ability to identify ways to improve internal sales processes
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • A current driver’s license is essential
