Description
Location: Cape Town CBD (On-site) Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM SAST (US Market Alignment) Basic Salary: Competitive & Market Related About Fundwell Fundwell is a high-growth financial technology platform revolutionizing how US-based SMEs access and manage capital. As we scale toward our 200-seat milestone in Cape Town, we are looking for elite Sales Team Leaders who are "Sales Athletes" first—leaders who lead by example, coach with precision, and drive relentless productivity. The Role: Lead from the Front We are not looking for "desk managers." This is a high-impact role for a leader with a Sales Trainer background who can personally demonstrate excellence. You will manage, coach, and performance-manage a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) while maintaining your own sharp edge in the sales process. Your Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Drive daily, weekly, and monthly team productivity. You are responsible for the volume of verified applications submitted by your team. Hands-on Coaching: Conduct daily huddles and live call coaching. You must be able to personally handle tough US-based gatekeepers and demonstrate "The Pivot" (objection handling) to your team. Metric Mastery: Monitor and report on critical performance metrics: volume, decline rates, approval ratios, and funded outcomes. Performance Management: Identify underperformers early and implement corrective training or formal PIPs. You are expected to be "firm but fair" and never a push-over. Personal Contribution: To lead effectively, you are required to personally submit a minimum of 5 qualifying applications per month (tracked separately from team targets). Quality & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Fundwell’s ethical standards and communication protocols. Maintain a team decline rate below 60%. What We Are Looking For Proven Leadership: 2+ years of experience leading high-volume sales teams (B2B, Finance, or US/UK market experience is highly preferred). Trainer DNA: A background in Sales Training. You must know how to translate company targets into daily operational execution and teach others to win. Command & Authority: You lead from the front. You have the professional polish to engage US executives and the authority to hold your team accountable. Elite Communication: Flawless, neutral English accent for coaching on US market nuances. Grit: The stamina to maintain "High-Floor" energy throughout a 10-hour US-aligned shift. Compensation & Performance Upside Base Salary: Market-related base salary (commensurate with experience). Team Commission: Aggressive team-based commission calculated on the percentage of quota achieved (Average apps per day, per agent). Individual Upside: Once you exceed your 5 personal monthly applications, you are eligible for individual application-based commission (USD-based points system). OTE Potential: High OTE potential based on team and individual performance milestones. Benefits Transport & Safety: Dedicated door-to-door transport provided after the midnight shift (within a 35km radius). Health: Access to comprehensive medical insurance. Tools: State-of-the-art office equipped with the latest Apple hardware. Growth: Opportunity to scale into senior management as the office expands to 200 seats. Our Commitment Fundwell is an equal opportunity employer. We value character, stamina, and the ability to inspire others through action. Join the leadership elite at Fundwell and help us dominate the US market from Cape Town.
