About the role

Lounge Lovers is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sales Team Member to join our retail team on a part-time basis. Based in Fyshwick, ACT, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the sales and retail environment, helping customers find the perfect furniture solutions whilst driving sales growth. You will be instrumental in creating an exceptional customer experience and achieving sales targets through product knowledge, engaging communication, and a genuine passion for helping customers.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assess their furniture needs and preferences
• Provide expert product knowledge about lounges and home furnishings to guide customer purchasing decisions
• Develop relationships with customers and offer personalised recommendations based on their requirements and budget
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
• Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets on a consistent basis
• Maintain a clean, organised and visually appealing showroom environment
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve any concerns professionally and promptly
• Assist with stock management, product displays and merchandising activities
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive and supportive workplace atmosphere

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a retail or sales environment, ideally within furniture, home furnishings or a related sector
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth
• Product knowledge of lounges and home furnishings, or a keen willingness to learn quickly
• Excellent customer service orientation with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
• Ability to work part-time hours flexibly, including potential weekend and evening shifts
• Organised, reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail
• A positive attitude, enthusiasm and natural sales ability
