About the Job This job will be based in Barrenjoey’s Abu Dhabi Global Market office, which services the Fixed Income business’s northern hemisphere clients. Daily responsibilities will include: Assisting the traders to book trades. Assisting the sales desk with client enquiries and risk modelling Reconciling risk and revenue throughout the day using a range of tools. Providing trade and risk information to traders as required, to help with decision making. Problem-solving booking or processing issues. Working with technology as required to ensure all trades are correctly processed on a timely basis. Working closely with middle office and settlement colleagues throughout the trade lifecycle. In addition to the daily responsibilities, the Trading / Sales Assistant will also be involved in: Control design and process improvement. Cost analysis. Involvement in regulatory reform and other change projects, including technology change and testing.   About You 2+ years working on, or closely with, a Fixed Income trading desk. A good understanding of the mechanics of trading cleared derivatives and bonds. Strong numeracy skills. Preferred but not essential - familiarity with Bloomberg, Markitwire and trader risk tools, basic coding skills and an understanding of trading revenue attribution. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-starter, highly organized, able to work independently and take ownership. Enjoys working in a team. Ability to work under time constraints and manage competing priorities.
