We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Salesforce Architect to join our fast-growing business. The Salesforce Architect will play a critical role in assessing, selecting, managing, and implementing enterprise application components, ensuring that technical solutions effectively address business problems within the organization’s operational and functional baseline. This role focuses on designing and delivering solutions for enterprise-grade customers using Salesforce products and requires close collaboration with various business and technology teams to gather requirements, document use-cases, and develop implementation specifications. Our architect will help us empower and equip the VA with modular Salesforce solutions to address complex challenges and achieve operational efficiency for its valued customers, Veterans, and loved ones.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise Salesforce application architecture, Salesforce product implementation, Apex code, Lightning Components, VisualForce pages, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience configuring and creating solutions in Salesforce.
  • Experience with Service, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, Data Cloud modules and/or MuleSoft, Tableau, and Einstein AI.
  • Advanced ability to implement and optimize plugins, JavaScript, and custom code.
  • Experience using declarative tools like Salesforce Connect or Data Loader for simple integrations.
  • Advanced Experience with SOQL, Lightning Web Component (LWC), Apex, Visual Force, and other tools used with configuration.
  • Experience working in an Agile Team Framework.
  • Strong understanding of the declarative customization options available and when to use them instead of code
  • Experience working in Jira, partnering with QA, and release management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Experience working with Federal agencies, particularly the Department of Veterans Affairs, is a plus.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect certification(s).
  • Configuring managed connections with other Microsoft products like Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen mindfulness of keeping the goal in mind.
  • Experience mentoring junior members of the team.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Responsibilities
  • Develop reusable components to improve team productivity.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to address defects.
  • Participate in sprint planning to break down user stories into tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Develop integration solutions with third-party systems.
  • Collaborate with the Platform Architect on system design decisions.
  • Design and implement complex features using Low-Code/No-Code (LCNC) tools.
  • Collaborate with the UI/UX Specialist to implement front-end designs.
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met for all interfaces – 508 Compliance.
  • Assist in integrating third-party APIs.
  • Report defects in Jira and track them through resolution.
  • Maintain and update existing documentation based on feature changes.
  • Configure objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and other system components to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with other administrators and developers to implement customizations, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Support data cleansing, deduplication, and migration activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including user provisioning, profile management, and permission set assignments.
  • Document configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
  • Tackle highly complex problems, mentoring team members in issue resolution.
  • Lead solution architecture, including performance optimization and long-term strategy alignment.
  • Architect and oversee code development, ensuring best practices for performance and maintainability.
  • Design and lead complex integrations, leveraging deep knowledge of APIs, SDKs, and architecture.
