As a Salesforce Developer at Foundation Data, you will design and develop custom applications, features, and integrations within the Salesforce platform.
You will work in close collaboration with company leadership and end-users to gather and analyze requirements. Your collaboration with key stakeholders will be paramount in designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions that enhance operational processes.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
The ideal applicant will possess a background in Salesforce development, a comprehensive understanding of the Salesforce platform, and exceptional problem-solving and communication competencies.
This is a full-time, remote, salaried position. Candidates must reside in the continental U.S., no time zone preference, all welcome to apply. Note: we have multiple location posts for this remote position. Please submit ONLY ONE application for the market which you most closely reside.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, and/or solid computer programming skills with relevant work experience
  • Salesforce Developer certification (e.g., Platform Developer I or II), preferred
  • Proven experience in Salesforce development, with a strong understanding of Apex, JSON, Visualforce and Lightning Components
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices
  • Understanding of CRM principles and the Salesforce ecosystem, including its various modules like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Partner Community Experience and Marketing Cloud (Pardot)
  • Proficiency with Salesforce APIs (SOAP, REST), Mulesoft and Mulesoft Composer, SOQL, integrations, and data migration
  • Superior proficiency in problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and communication capabilities
  • Technical ability to learn and experiment with tools such as Agentforce and Mulesoft
  • Ability, understanding, and managing CI/CD, Repository management and Change sets in Salesforce environment
  • Ability to automate complex business processes using Salesforce tools like Process Builder, Flows, and Workflow Rules
  • Customize and configure Salesforce based on specific business needs, including creating and modifying objects, fields, workflows, and other platform features
  • Competence to operate efficiently within a collaborative and dynamic setting
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement customized Salesforce solutions to support business needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce applications, ensuring optimal performance and functionality
  • Oversee the quality assurance process, including thorough testing and debugging, and managing the deployment of new features or applications
  • Write and perpetually update documentation encompassing technical specifications, user manuals, and version release annotations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations
  • Work closely with other teams, like sales, marketing, and customer service, to understand their needs and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Salesforce applications and best practices
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, features, and best practices
  • Assist third-party developers to troubleshoot their integration with Salesforce.com APIs, Apex, Visualforce and implementation of other Salesforce.com developer products; this involves debugging, troubleshooting, and taking responsibility to see that the issue is fully resolved
