About The Role

We are seeking a talented Salesforce Developer (m/w/d) to join our team at the Mönchengladbach location, supporting our project management initiatives within Scheidt & Bachmann Signalling Systems GmbH. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing Salesforce solutions that deliver tangible business value. Your primary focus will be on designing modern, efficient, and scalable Salesforce applications using Lightning Web Components, Apex controllers, and triggers based on user stories and business requirements. You will play a key role in transforming manual processes into automated, digital workflows, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, you will configure and customize the Salesforce platform, including data models, user interfaces, and access controls, ensuring seamless integration with external systems through REST APIs and event-driven processes. Collaboration is fundamental to this position, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams and leverage advanced development tools to deliver high-quality solutions that meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a successful degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field, complemented by at least two years of professional experience in Salesforce development and configuration. Certification as a Salesforce Platform Developer I and Platform App Builder is required, demonstrating your technical proficiency. You should possess strong expertise in Lightning Web Components, Apex programming, Salesforce Flows, and data modeling, along with a solid understanding of permission and sharing models. Experience with REST API integrations, Git-based development workflows, and Salesforce CLI is highly desirable. Additional skills include familiarity with Python, excellent communication skills in German and English, and the legal right to work within the EU. A cooperative mindset, attention to detail, and a solution-oriented approach are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include developing innovative Salesforce solutions that align with business needs, utilizing Lightning Web Components, Apex, and Flows to create user-centric applications. You will analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring the implementation of efficient and maintainable code. Automating manual processes through low-code solutions and configuring the Salesforce platform—including data models, user interfaces, roles, and permissions—will be central to your work. You will design and implement integrations with external systems via REST APIs and develop event-driven processes using Platform Events. Collaborating with functional teams and fellow developers, you will employ modern development tools such as Salesforce CLI, Git, and Visual Studio to ensure high-quality deliverables. Continuous learning and proactive problem-solving will be encouraged, supporting the ongoing improvement of our Salesforce environment and contributing to the company's digital transformation initiatives.
