POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to design, build, and optimize Salesforce solutions for high-impact projects supporting the Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism (CT). The Salesforce Developer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including Scrum Masters, Configurers, Data Scientists, Program Managers, and clients—to enhance the PRISM platform and enable secure, data-driven program management, reporting, and analytics.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, and integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience developing on Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or custom-managed packages.
  • Strong skills in API development/integration (REST/SOAP), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and supporting modern web technologies.
  • Experience with Agile workflows and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II or additional certifications strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal IT and cybersecurity standards; experience in government, defense, or international development environments preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required; active Secret clearance is preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting digital transformation in government or security sector assistance.
  • Proficiency with advanced analytics integrations (Tableau, Power BI, Python).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain custom Salesforce applications, workflows, Lightning components, Apex classes/triggers, integrations, and API connections to support program and user needs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, ensuring compliance with security and data privacy standards (SBU and federal policies).
  • Lead integration efforts between Salesforce and third-party analytics/visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Azure), including ETL processes and automation of data pipelines.
  • Optimize and refactor legacy code, troubleshoot issues, and implement system enhancements as part of Agile project teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, configuration records, and code repositories to ensure transparency and support future development.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, demos, retrospectives), contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure full compliance with Department of State cybersecurity requirements, collaborating with ISO/ISSO and designated IT security contacts.
  • Support training and onboarding of system users and administrators as new features are deployed.
