Our team at the Sydney Anglican Offices are committed to supporting the building of God’s Kingdom through the provision of a range of valued services to organisations and churches in the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney.
This role sits within Sydney Anglican Services (SAS), which exists to provide the Synod of the Diocese with the corporate capacity to manage the affairs of the Diocese. We mainly do this by providing the Synod, other Diocesan organisations and parishes with a range of professional services.
The SAS IT team is responsible for overseeing technology infrastructure, safeguarding cybersecurity, delivering technical support, and driving improvements in IT efficiency and reliability

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer who is able to deliver high-quality salesforce solutions to support the operations of the Sydney Anglican Offices.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum 5 years development experience
  • Minimum 3 years Salesforce development experience
  • Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SFDX
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and security model
  • Experience in database management and information architecture
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Consistent with the ethos and values of the Sydney Anglican Offices, applicants for the position must have a demonstrated Christian commitment and be an active member of a church. Knowledge of the Diocese is an advantage.

Responsibilities

The Salesforce Developer will deliver key custom Salesforce applications and system improvements, primarily through programmatic solutions, but also through design and configuration of the Salesforce platform. This includes:

  • Developing, testing, and deploying custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs
  • Refactoring and improving existing apps to bring them into alignment with best practices.
  • Designing and implementing Salesforce configuration
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation using Salesforce
