SALESFORCE DEVELOPER

Velocity Commercial Capital, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Velocity Financial, Inc, an NYSE-listed public company. Velocity Commercial Capital is a real estate finance company founded in 2004 that primarily originates and manages investor loans secured by 1–4-unit residential rental and small commercial properties. Velocity Commercial Capital is seeking to hire a full-time Salesforce Developer. This position is located at the offices in Westlake Village, CA. This is a Remote-hybrid position. The first 6 months we would like the candidate on site once a week, and at specific IT events quarterly thereafter or as needed.
The candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the company’s Salesforce.com support functions, customization, integration with other systems and performing additional administrative tasks related to overall reporting and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of Salesforce Development and Administration. All developers on the team are expected to perform basic SF Administrator tasks as part of this job. Experience working with the nCino managed package is required. We expect this candidate to be able to leverage their broad Salesforce expertise to intuitively assess and uncover the specifics of an existing org’s architecture, configuration, and customizations (with minimal guidance). REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Salesforce Certified Developer (Platform Developer I or II)
• Salesforce Certified Administrator
• 7+ years of professional Force.com platform experience.
• Platform: APEX programming, Lightning Components, VisualForce pages, Classes, Controllers, Triggers, Data Loader, AppExchange, Web Services, Components, Custom Objects, Workflows & Approvals, Dashboards, Reports, Analytic Snapshots, etc.
• Proficient working with Process Builders and Flows.
• Proficient in Lightning Experience and Component Building
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Gearset or Copado, and version control systems like Github / Git
• Demonstrate strong Salesforce functional and administration skills.
• Salesforce architecture and integrations with 3rd party applications.
• 7+ years of relevant IT experience in system analysis, design and development.
• 7+ years professional experience in application/software development. Ability and experience integrating with outside platforms via REST APIs and Web Services.
• Proficient knowledge of Governor limits and experience in optimization of existing code in accordance to the governor limits
• Knowledge of Force.com development best practices and design patterns
• Ability to identify and triage task importance and prioritize accordingly, while communicating resource allocation and constraints
• A fast learner with excellent project management skills who is confident, responsible, and likes new challenges
• Highly organized, flexible in a changing environment, deadline driven and able to handle multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of testing tools and techniques to write scripts and set up test environment for development and Integration environments
• Ability to work independently to meet project requirements with minimal supervision
• Ability to present ideas and information in group settings
• Able to function effectively within a creative, somewhat chaotic, fun and hard-working environment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

• Responsible for overall application system analysis, design and development
• Responsible for end-to-end system updates for SF, nCino and other managed packages including but not limited to sandbox installation, extensive testing, production deployment, test class and support
• Write Apex code, SOQL queries, JavaScript code, and Lightning Web components for the Salesforce platform
• Develop custom applications using APEX, JavaScript, Visual Force, HTML, CSS
• Implement changes with applications; test those changes to ensure accuracy; and work with the sales and operations departments to accept, deploy and communicate new solutions
• Analyze business requirements, procedures, and problems and then apply sound technological concepts and provide logical solutions to each (i.e. identify, recommend and resolve)
• Strategize and implement new and evolving IT solutions for the company’s future requirements
• Knowledge of Salesforce managed packages including DocuSign, SailPoint, and Marketing Cloud is a plus.
• Experience in delivering IT applications through software development life cycles
• Drive architecture discussions and prepare the architecture including all SFDC integration components
• Maintain the highest quality data in Salesforce.com
• Manage relationships and projects to support revenue growth, process efficiencies and CRM best practices
• Deliver rapid resolution to business challenges and technical issues; identify and implement Salesforce.com enhancements as needed
• Provide day-to-day support of the CRM application to all levels of the organization
