Wilhelmsen Port Services is seeking a Salesforce Platform Lead in our Chennai Office. In Wilhelmsen Port Services (WPS), we provide our customers with peace of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. Who you are: You will be the technical guardian of the enterprise Salesforce platform, overseeing its architecture and governance. You will be responsible for maintaining the platform's health, scalability, and security, as well as managing integrations, while ensuring strict adherence to Salesforce best practices across all clouds. Your role will involve a strong commitment to optimising the platform and managing risks, guaranteeing that the Salesforce ecosystem is future-ready and able to support evolving business needs. In this position, you will report to the Enterprise Solution Architect. The Salesforce Platform Lead will report to the Enterprise Solution Architect. Main Responsibilities: Own enterprise Salesforce platform architecture, covering Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, Flosum, and event-driven frameworks. Ensure platform health, security, and compliance, including monitoring org limits, managing storage, asynchronous jobs, and event-driven processing. Define and enforce platform governance, coding standards, and architectural best practices across all development teams. Lead complex system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and ETL pipelines. Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines, Flosum deployments, and automated testing frameworks to ensure reliable releases. Conduct code reviews, technical audits, and architectural assessments to enforce quality, maintainability, and scalability. Mentor and lead a team of Salesforce developers and architects, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards. Evaluate and implement Salesforce innovations and platform upgrades, recommending enhancements to optimize performance where applicable. Provide strategic guidance on multi-org management, cross-cloud dependencies, and data model scalability. Prior knowledge of the shipping/maritime industry is a strong plus to support industry-specific platform design. Qualification, Experience and Skills 10–15 years of industry experience with enterprise Salesforce architecture and multi-cloud exposure. Hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Flosum, and integration technologies. Expertise in platform governance, storage optimization, event-driven architecture, CI/CD, and asynchronous processing. Hands-on expertise with Apex, LWC, Aura Components, Visualforce, triggers, and asynchronous processing. Strong knowledge of Salesforce security, compliance, and org health management. Proven ability to lead teams and technical professionals. Salesforce certifications: Application Architect, System Architect, Platform Architect preferred. Preferred Skills: Experience designing enterprise integration patterns, middleware orchestration, and API management. Ability to provide guidance on cross-cloud data architecture, multi-org strategy, and scalability challenges. Exposure to shipping/maritime workflows is advantageous Applying Sounds interesting?
