About the job

Key Responsibilities:


  • Own and drive the strategic direction, performance, governance and ongoing optimisation of the Salesforce platform as the organisation's primary customer data system.
  • Lead platform architecture, integration decisions, standards and best practices to ensure scalable, sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee multiple Salesforce projects and workstreams, ensuring prioritisation, quality delivery, stakeholder alignment and measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to translate organisational needs into practical technology solutions that support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Establish strong governance frameworks, review existing platform implementations and drive continuous improvement across the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a Salesforce team across onshore and offshore resources, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Act as the senior Salesforce advisor to the organisation, balancing technical, commercial and operational considerations in decision-making.

Ideal Candidate Experience:


  • Extensive Salesforce experience within complex, growing or transformation environments.
  • Previous experience as a Salesforce Architect, Senior Consultant, or Product Owner progressing into platform leadership.
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, particularly Service Cloud and Nonprofit Cloud (NFP Cloud).
  • Proven track record of owning platform strategy, governance, roadmap development and platform optimisation.
  • Strong experience managing multiple projects, vendors and delivery teams simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience across both local and offshore teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Commercially minded, with a focus on ROI, business value and operational efficiency.
  • Structured and process-driven, capable of introducing governance and order in evolving environments.
  • Collaborative, empathetic and relationship-focused, with strong alignment to mission-driven or community-focused organisations.
