We are looking for a seasoned Salesforce Solutions Architect to serve as a strategic and hands-on leader in optimizing and scaling our Salesforce ecosystem. This role is centered on assessing the current Salesforce deployment, identifying opportunities to better support sales and service operations, and guiding the platform’s evolution in a scalable, sustainable, and best-practice-aligned manner. The architect will partner closely with Salesforce platform specialists and business leaders to evaluate daily platform usage, uncover inefficiencies or gaps, and transform these insights into well-structured, forward-looking solutions. This position requires a balance of business enablement and partnership with rigorous architectural governance, ensuring that platform enhancements drive tangible outcomes without introducing undue complexity or technical debt. Primary Responsibilities Business Partnership & Platform Strategy Collaborate with Salesforce platform teams and key business stakeholders to deeply understand how Salesforce supports sales and service workflows. Analyze platform utilization, user adoption, and operational effectiveness to pinpoint opportunities for improved efficiency, usability, and business impact. Advise on platform enhancements that empower teams while adhering to Salesforce best practices and architectural standards. Serve as a trusted advisor, linking architectural decisions to measurable business results and ensuring intentional, effective use of platform capabilities. Platform Assessment & Architectural Design Conduct a holistic evaluation of the existing Salesforce environment, including: Data architecture, custom and standard objects Automation landscape (Flows, legacy automations) Security framework, profiles, permission sets, and sharing models Integrations, APIs, and data flow design Technical debt, scalability constraints, and performance considerations Identify architectural inconsistencies, over-customization, or underutilization of platform features. Document findings and deliver actionable, prioritized recommendations. Roadmap Development & Governance Develop a forward-looking platform roadmap that balances immediate business needs with long-term platform integrity. Define and implement Salesforce design standards and governance guardrails, covering: Naming conventions and configuration protocols Automation and integration design patterns Data governance and lifecycle management Sandbox management, deployment processes, and release protocols Establish governance practices that foster innovation while safeguarding against future technical debt. Solution Implementation & Delivery Lead the implementation of new Salesforce capabilities and modules (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom applications). Redesign or optimize existing configurations and automation to improve scalability, maintainability, and alignment with architectural standards. Design and oversee integrations with external systems using APIs, middleware, or other enterprise tools. Ensure robust testing, controlled deployment, and comprehensive documentation for all changes. Collaboration & Enablement Partner with internal and external teams to maintain architectural alignment and consistency. Mentor and upskill Salesforce platform specialists, reinforcing architectural principles and best practices. Produce clear, lasting documentation to support platform sustainability, operational continuity, and knowledge transfer. Required Experience & Skills 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with substantial responsibility for solution design and architecture. Proven background in assessing existing Salesforce implementations and leading platform improvement initiatives. Deep expertise in: Salesforce configuration and customization Declarative automation (Flows) Data modeling and security architecture Integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, external systems) Ability to balance business requirements with technical discipline and platform governance. Strong communication skills, with a talent for translating technical concepts into business-oriented language. Preferred Qualifications Relevant Salesforce certifications, such as: Salesforce Certified Application Architect Salesforce Certified System Architect Progress toward or attainment of Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) Experience with CI/CD, Salesforce DX, and structured release management practices. Background in complex sales or service operational environments. Previous consulting or advisory experience conducting org assessments and roadmap development. Measures of Success Salesforce is more effectively aligned to sales and service team workflows, leading to higher adoption and satisfaction. Clearly defined architectural standards and governance practices are established and consistently applied. New platform capabilities are implemented cleanly, with minimal rework and reduced technical debt. Platform specialists are empowered with clear guidance, mentorship, and structural support. The platform is scalable, maintainable, and poised to support future business growth.
