SAMHSA CCBHC IMPROVEMENT AND ADVANCEMENT GRANT LEAD PROJECT DIRECTOR

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, the lead Project Director is responsible for the overall operation of the SAMHSA IA Grant. Provides project oversight and leadership.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have Masters in a healthcare related field. Must possess at least two (2) years of professional program experience and at least five (5) years of community behavioral health management experience. Knowledge of BH evidenced based practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Demonstrates understanding and skill in developing, implementing the IA Grant work plan based on predetermined goals and objectives.
  • Manages collaborative relationships with IA Grant external and internal stakeholders, particularly with agency CCBHC Director, who ensures compliance with Rhode Island Demonstration State CCBHC Standards.
  • Principal SAMHSA Contact, including eRA Commons, GPO meetings and agenda development, progress reporting and other SAMSHA requirements are met.
  • Ensures project sustainability, leading the Systems Team meeting with all key IA Grant leads and stakeholders participating.
  • Responsible for the attainment of IA Grant goals and objectives via Project Team and Systems Team work, and communicates thus in Progress Reporting.
  • Oversight of Project Evaluator, Project Coordinator, and other staff assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Makes and communicates well-informed and timely decisions.
  • Utilizes information available from a variety of sources to evaluate performance.
  • Identifies, analyzes and solves problems — providing proactive solutions to individual and organizational problems as related to IA Grant implementation.
  • Motivates and guides staff towards goal attainment. Develops and sustains consistently cooperative working relationships.
  • Seeks and actively participates in regularly scheduled supervision and self-development with emphasis on an openness to receive feedback and integrate recommendations in the execution of job responsibilities.

  • Intern and NOM’s Assistant oversight
  • Uber oversight and monitoring
  • Systems Team meetings — participation and assistance with agenda setting
