Job Description This position focuses on environmental sample collection and laboratory support rather than analytical testing. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance and supporting cleanroom operations. Key Responsibilities Collect environmental samples from controlled process areas, high-purity water systems, clean steam, and compressed gases. Perform routine environmental monitoring to ensure compliance with cleanroom standards. Support laboratory operations by cleaning controlled temperature units, operating autoclaves, and assisting with general upkeep. Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure readiness and compliance. Use the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to track samples and associated data. Participate in overtime, weekend, holiday, and on-call schedules as needed. Cleanroom Requirements No cosmetics, nail polish, or jewelry (except medical alert items or one smooth ring band). Hair must be secured in a hairnet; facial hair must be trimmed and covered. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field OR Associate’s degree in Life Sciences with relevant experience. Ability to meet physical demands: lifting 25 lbs+, standing/walking for extended periods, pushing/pulling carts, bending/reaching. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn new techniques. Proficiency with computer systems and accurate record-keeping. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship. Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments. Familiarity with microbial identification and cGMP regulations. Environmental monitoring experience and LIMS knowledge.
