SUMMARY

The Sample Management Technician I will operate from Sample Management workshop and is responsible for the preparation of various sampling cylinder types, booking in, placement into storage, internal distribution and dispatch to third parties of process samples The role requires flexibility to support other technical departments, including fluid analysis, core analysis, rock properties, and wellsite services, as needed. The individual will follow approved procedures, ensuring high-quality data collection, documentation, and compliance with company standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to standard/higher grade, or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory, warehouse, or sample handling environment is desired.
  • Driving license is desired.
  • Forklift license is desired.
  • Any dangerous goods qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean, inspect and redress various cylinder types in line with documented procedures.
  • Book in samples, assign storage locations and store appropriately.
  • Remove terminated samples from storage, consolidate and advise senior staff so that disposal can be arranged.
  • As requested, prepare equipment / materials required for off-site use.
  • Maintain an accurate tracking record of all cylinder / sample movements.
  • To perform all assigned tasks according to documented procedures or work instructions.
  • To be fully aware of time allocated for each task and perform within allocated time schedule.
  • To perform all tasks in accordance with approved QA procedures.
  • To revert to Senior staff before commencing work if instructions are unclear.
  • Handle confidential Company and client materials and data with integrity and discretion.
  • To complete all worksheets, data forms, records, and administrative forms legibly and to distribute or file these in the appropriate location.
  • Identify and report Non-Conformances using the approved reporting systems and support corrective actions.
  • Work collaboratively with different departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence.
