Company Description Join our friendly and fast-paced Sample Management Team as a Sample Management Technician, where your attention to detail and teamwork will help power scientific discovery and protect the integrity of global sport and health. As part of our Sports & Specialised Analytical Services (SSAS) division, you’ll be joining an internationally recognised laboratory at the forefront of anti-doping and banned substance testing. Our work spans animal sports medication, human drug testing and dietary supplement certification. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build on your lab or logistics experience, we’ll support your development with hands-on training and clear progression pathways. Job Description Key Responsibilities Receive samples, perform integrity checks, and complete all necessary documentation Log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), managing storage and disposals Work as part of an operational team to prepare samples for analysis in a timely manner Conduct analytical work using appropriate techniques and in accordance with regulatory standards (e.g. ISO 17025) Act in compliance with the site Health & Safety Policy Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-equipped work area, observing operational regulations Qualifications What We’re Looking For The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and behaviours: Effective time management, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard An enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent attention to detail A collaborative team player, able to adapt to changing priorities and contribute ideas Alignment with LGC’s core values: Passion, Curiosity, Integrity, Brilliance, and Respect Qualifications Educated to GCSE level, with 5 GCSEs graded A-C (or 9-4) Experience in a regulated laboratory environment is advantageous Sound computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Additional Information Why Join Us?
