Job Description SGS are looking for a Sample Preparation / Laboratory Assistant to join our supportive team at Ngakawau. This is a great opportunity for someone who is well organised, friendly, and keen to work in a laboratory environment. In this role you will be working Monday to Friday on a 3-shift rotating pattern [0600-1400; 1200-2000; 1700-0100]. Key Responsibilities: Efficiently prepare, analyse and report data of coal samples, with a focus on Drill Hole samples, ensuring compliance with standards. Maintain high service levels by adhering to standard operating procedures and meeting client demands and reporting deadlines. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Provide excellent customer service and work with management to maximise business returns whilst minimising risk. Carry out all activities in accordance with Health and Safety requirements and personal safety guidelines. Qualifications Effective timekeeping skills and able to work under pressure. Ability to maintain accurate records. Proven computer skills. Effective verbal communication skills Ability to work with others in a team environment. Proven organisational skills. Current forklift license.
