MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.
We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels.
  • Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify and deal with problems.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite, Word & Excel
  • High School education is a pre-requisite.
  • Previous experience in mining companies preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to interact with different cultures.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Previous experience with the use of a pallet jack is an asset
  • Some physical lifting, up to 50 pounds, is required.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and enter sample information into our computer systems.
  • Prepare samples for testing including separation, drying, crushing, and splitting in accordance with our standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Perform QC checks and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Weighing and data entry of samples to ensure accuracy and volume monitoring.
  • Use crushing and other equipment to process samples.
  • Utilize the existing computerized system to manage stock.
  • Some lifting is required, up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.
