The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Sample Shipping Specialist to join our team in Cambridge, UK. In this role, you’ll take ownership of managing the end-to-end shipping process for both domestic and international shipments. This role is key in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for dangerous goods, including IATA, ADR, and IMDG regulations.

EXPERIENCE:

• Shipping and dispatching materials, with expertise in hazardous goods and international logistics
• Proven track record of managing shipping operations and ensuring compliance with both UK and international regulations
• IATA Dangerous Goods Certification, ADR Certification, IMDG Certification, CILT Qualification, Customer Compliance or Export Certification are preferrable
• Export documentation and regulatory compliance, including Incoterms, commodity codes, and valuations
• Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices for risk management.
• Proficiency in data analysis and shipping software systems to enhance operational efficiency

This role will be a full-time permanent position based in a brand-new facility at the customer site - The Discovery Centre, Bio-Medical Campus in Cambridge.
