EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent; 3-6 months manufacturing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Basic computer skills; FRN & Vision IS systems
• Accuracy/Attention to detail
• Follow ship dates and order times
• Clearly defining and utilizing processes in daily work
• Looking for innovative ways to streamline work processes across the division and involves stakeholders
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory control system
• Establishing forums to share best practices
• Using department and company scorecard and other metrics
• Performing work at various heights

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Stand for long periods of time; 8hrs.
• Comfortable operating at heights (balcony location)
• Wear all required PPE

JOB PURPOSE:

Fills and packs customers’ orders in accordance with specifications on order form. Receives and reads customer orders to identify item(s) to be pulled. Verifies stock availability. Performs manual packaging operations to fill, mark, label, band, tie, pack and/or wrap containers with products and materials. Prepares and maintains records. May obtain and sort items to be packaged and replenish supplies. Be able to float around and multitask. Cleans and maintains work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

JOB DUTIES:

• Fills orders in accordance with specifications on order form. (85%)
• Work with FRN and VISION IS / ability to read work orders.
• Batch and print customer orders.
• Pick orders in accordance with order form specifications
• Print labels and inventory tickets.
• Make decisions about the correct packaging materials and sizes for the shipments.
• Initiate cycle count requests when inventory variances are detected.
• Fill, mark, label, band, tie, pack and/or wrap orders for delivery.
• Complete import/export paperwork, as necessary.
• Process orders using Pitney Bowes.
• Maintain good attendance and work all posted overtime.
• Meet all ship dates.
• Be able to float around and multitask.
• Maintain warehouse operations. (10%)
• Replenish materials into their proper locations; packaging and sampling supplies.
• Have a high level of safety awareness.
• Come up with process improvements with the work area or the departments.
• Maintain warehouse environment. (5%)
• Follow established procedures to maintain work environment in a neat and orderly condition.
• Follow safety policies and procedures. Attend regularly-scheduled safety meetings.
• Attend daily huddles and other meetings to ensure smooth flow of communication.
• Clean assigned areas; remove trash and recycle when appropriate. Ensure work area is in a clean and safe condition.
• Report unsafe conditions to Team leader.
