Job Description JOB SUMMARY The Well-Being Counselor plays a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of students. This position involves providing counseling services, implementing well-being programs, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to foster a positive and supportive school environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support students' emotional, social, and psychological well-being. Identifying behavioural problems and acting appropriately to remedy the situation. Paying attention to societal and cultural differences in all student matters. Implementing programs to support students' personal, social, and emotional development and wellbeing. Provide immediate support to students in crisis and work with school leadership to ensure appropriate interventions. Develop and oversee peer support programs to encourage a supportive student community. Design and implement well-being programs and workshops for students. Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to identify students needing well-being support. Provide support services to parents/guardians as needed. In collaboration with teachers and parents, help students establish goals and develop and use planning skills. Refer students and families to external support services when necessary. Proficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports, and collect data, ensuring all notes and data are stored in the appropriate folders. Providing regular updated reports to Campus Principals; at least once a month. Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in psychology, guidance and counseling, or another relevant discipline. Possesses minimal 5 (five) years’ work experience as a Wellbeing Counselor in an International school setting. COMPETENCIES & SOFT SKILLS Competent in teaching, character development, leadership and teamwork. Excellent English skills; written and oral. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work within a dynamic team. Working knowledge of modern and international counselling models, methods, and resources. Ability to identify and respond to students' needs. Excellent listening and problem-solving skills. Must be patient and compassionate. Prominent level of integrity.
