We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated .NET Tizen TV Developer to lead the creation of a core multimedia application for Samsung Smart TVs. You will be responsible for building a “Netflix-style” application from scratch, featuring a rich library of Video-on-Demand (VOD) content and a lineup of Live TV channels. This is a unique opportunity to own a critical project and shape the future of our user experience on the biggest screen in the home.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 6 or newer).
• Proven, hands-on experience developing and launching applications specifically for Samsung Tizen Smart TVs using .NET.
• Expertise in building user interfaces with .NET MAUI (or its predecessor, Xamarin.Forms).
• In-depth knowledge of the TizenFX API framework, especially the ‘Tizen.TV.Multimedia’ classes (’Player’, ‘DRMManager’) for handling video and DRM.
• Demonstrable experience with media streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and the intricacies of video player integration.
• Strong understanding of and practical experience with DRM technologies and workflows.
• Proficiency with the Tizen development environment in Visual Studio, including the Tizen Emulator, Remote Device Manager, and debugging tools.
• Solid experience integrating with RESTful APIs for fetching content, user data, and service information.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and take ownership of a project from concept to launch.
• Ability to speak and write in Russian.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with performance optimization for embedded or low-memory devices.
• Familiarity with the app submission and certification process for other Connected TV (CTV) platforms (e.g., LG webOS, Roku, Android TV).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

• Architect, develop, and maintain a high-performance, feature-rich application for the Samsung Tizen OS using the .NET framework.
• Design and implement a fluid and intuitive user interface optimized for the “10-foot” TV experience using C# and .NET MAUI.
• Integrate robust video playback capabilities for both VOD and Live TV, utilizing modern streaming protocols such as HLS and DASH.
• Implement and manage industry-standard Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions, including PlayReady and Widevine, to secure premium content.
• Utilize the TizenFX API and the specialized TizenFX TV API to interface directly with native platform features, such as hardware-accelerated multimedia decoding, to ensure smooth, high-quality playback.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend API developers, and product managers to translate requirements into a polished and reliable application.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to software development best practices.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues across a diverse range of Samsung TV models and Tizen OS versions.
• Manage the full application lifecycle, including packaging (’.tpk’ files), signing, and submission to the Samsung Apps TV Seller Office.
