For strengthening our Global Sanctions Desk as part of the Compliance Department based in Zurich, we are looking for an eager, experienced, and team-minded Sanctions Compliance Officer with great care, passion, and excellence to work on challenges and tasks in the area of Sanctions Operations, in particular in connection with the Sanction Real Time Transaction Screening, including Payments and Securities, being welcomed and joined by a professional and well-diversified team. YOUR CHALLENGE Lead and support projects in the area of Sanctions Operations, especially in connection with the Real Time Transaction Screening Application Manage real-time transaction hits against sanctions lists in the Bank’s electronic sanctions screening system as member of the second level and initiate background investigations and escalations if necessary Provide advise to and conduct training on Operations colleagues (as first level hit handling team) and Compliance Officers in group affiliates (as third level hit handling team) Manage third-party requests related to transactions of clients Support with third-party disclosure requests related to (sanctioned) clients Support with assessing and deciding on transfer and trade requests of sanctions-restricted securities, as well as related to Russian clients who are in scope of cash deposit restrictions Implement and develop processes, internal guidelines and conduct testing and controls YOUR PROFILE Completed bank apprenticeship, preferably with corresponding further education or degree in law, economics or banking & finance 3-5 years of working experience in banking, preferably with experience in the area of Sanctions Compliance and Real Time Transaction Screening Have an interest in payment relevant developments and their possible impacts on daily business with a good understanding of processes, system and information technology. Project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively within defined timelines and objectives Strong analytical skills and ability to provide practical solutions and precise work ethic A team player who is able to independently complete demanding tasks in an efficient, reliable and precise manner and deliver the necessary quality even under pressure Ready for new challenges and willingness to learn Very good organizational, operational, analytical and communication skills Fluent written and spoken language skills in German and English (knowledge of other languages is an advantage) We are looking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
