Job Details Job Location: Capital Sand - Wardsville - Wardsville, MO Position Type: Full Time Capital Sand Company is looking to fill a maintenance position that will include sand and gravel plant and river operations responsibilities located at our Wardsville, Missouri sand plant. RESPONSIBILITIES Operate sand and gravel processing equipment. Perform general maintenance on processing equipment, replacing bearings, replacing conveyor idlers, splicing conveyor belts, cutting, welding, fabrication, ect. Safely operate front-end loader, excavator, haul truck, and water truck. Perform general maintenance of heavy equipment; greasing, changing cutting edges, changing oil, maintaining maintenance logs, ect. Perform pre-shift inspections of heavy equipment and processing equipment. Participates in safety training, drills, and meetings to ensure overall equipment and crew safety. Observe and comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Suggest corrective action to improve plant and equipment performance and assist with implementation. Work in a constate state of alertness and in a safe manner. Frequent standing, walking, bending over, climbing, reaching overhead, kneeling, balancing, pushing, or pulling, talking/communication, repetitive use of legs, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying up to 75 lbs. Performs other duties as directed. REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of the practices and techniques applied to the safe operation of heavy equipment, including record keeping of equipment. Lift/Move up to 50 lbs. Valid driver’s license (preferred) Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be willing to work overtime. Ability to read and understand the English language. Not afraid of working on/around water. Training or working knowledge of MSHA is a plus. Welding experience is a plus. Mechanical experience is a plus. Some travel is required. Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
