The position of Sandblaster includes, but is not limited to, removing dirt, rust, scale and paint from metal equipment and components using sandblasting equipment. Prefer one year experience but will provide training if needed.
The shift is Monday-Thursday, 10 hour shifts.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Prefer one year experience but will provide training if needed
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

• Clean and refurbish metal and industrial equipment using sandblasting, pressurized steam or hydroblasting equipment
• Abrade surfaces of metal/hard-composition objects to remove adhering scale, dirt, and to impart specified finish, using abrasive-blasting equipment
• Shovel or pour abrasives, such as sand, grit, or shot of specified grade into machine hopper
• Mask specified areas of object to protect from abrading action
• Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure grinding and polishing standards are met
• Follow company policy and procedures and government legislation, including adherence to proper health and safety standards and use of personal protective equipment.
• Ensure that process is completed within set timeframes, and work as a member of multidisciplinary team to ensure products are finished by set deadline.
