Job Overview
We are a friendly and busy sandwich shop offering takeaway and eat in options. We are looking for a keen individual to help in the sandwich shop with food preparation.
We would require a flexible individual who can cover 16 hours per week from Monday to Friday, hours can be discussed for the right individual, but ideally you will be working between 8.30-3.00. We also require you to be available during the school holidays as well.

The role would include the following:

• To prepare and serve sandwiches/toasted sandwiches/paninis/salads/jacket potatoes
• To comply with good food hygiene practice e.g. cleaning and keeping temperature records and monitoring food dates.
• Replenish supplies in the sandwich shop e.g. sugar containers, sauces, napkins and cutlery etc and inform the manager if stocks are running low so they can be reordered
• To ensure that the service and seating areas are kept clear and clean throughout the day
• When closing, check all areas, complete a thorough clean of your own working area to a high standard
• Arrange and restock the display counters with cold drinks, cakes, sandwich fillings
• To have a high awareness of food allergies and assist customers if they enquire about ingredients
• To help with kitchen duties including stock, cleaning, food prep, etc

For this role:

• Experience within the hospitality industry is a must, ideally in a fast-paced environment, with experience of food prep
• Customer service experience is desired
• Great communication skills and a good sense of humour!

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.50-£12.21 per hour
