Description GENERAL SUMMARY: This is an hourly position that reports to the Quality Supervisor with a dotted line to the shift Production Supervisor. This position is responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of production vessels, production equipment, and infrastructure required in the process of making mustard, soup, and salad dressings. This person should be self-directed with minimal supervision SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION Perform and document the required sanitation as prescribed in the Master Sanitation Schedule(MSS) in a safe manner for all production equipment, vessels and all infrastructure areas of a food products facility. Perform assigned tasks in a manner to maintain consistent productivity and quality standards. Completes all required documentation, including Safety Chain Use approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces. Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food processing equipment. Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble support equipment including but not limited to: floor drains, exhaust vents, ceilings, tank storage areas. Dispose of waste around the processing equipment Strictly adhere to sanitation, GMP, and safety standards including PPE requirements. Sweep, mop, and run the floor scrubber as needed or directed Follow all written and verbal directions. Inform Sanitation Lead or Production Supervisor of all issues. Willing to work closely with the other personnel Monitor chemical levels and notify Production Supervisor when levels get low Maintain housekeeping standards. Other duties as assigned. Requirements SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Knowledge of manufacturing environment, preferred. Effective verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work well with other departments within the company. Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays if required. Knowledge of food safety defense. Must be self directed DESIRED: Self-directed able to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
