As we navigate a period of expansion and strategic initiatives, we are seeking a Sanitation Assistant Manager to join our team and contribute to the company’s success.
Summary: The Assistant Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sanitation team to ensure all cleaning and sanitation activities meet or exceed internal quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
Pay Range- $65-75k/yr

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • 1–3 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and food safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with sanitation chemicals and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting).
  • Capable of maintaining sanitation standards under time, equipment, and labor constraints.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and flexibility to work any required shift.
  • Proficiency in basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to lead effectively.
  • Ability to work in environments with potential allergen exposure.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the sanitation crew and plant-wide sanitation programs.
  • Schedule, train, and supervise sanitation personnel to maintain operational excellence.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with SQF, OSHA, GMP, and other applicable guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive sanitation documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production teams to optimize sanitation processes and minimize production downtime.
  • Investigate sanitation-related deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to promote a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and internal food safety meetings.
  • Monitor and report on food safety compliance and facility security.
  • Adhere to all food safety SOPs and GMPs.
