Long Island’s leading butcher shop, Farmingdale Meat Market/Main Street Wholesale Meats, is looking for a Sanitation Associate to join our team! Family-owned and operated for three generations, our company is continuously growing—join us in providing the finest meats since 1946!  Job Summary The Associate is responsible for ensuring that the plant meets mandatory sanitation requirements for production equipment and facilities. ln addition, this position has a basic understanding of the equipment and equipment's function along with chemical application awareness and can perform basic equipment breakdowns. Responsibilities ●    Dispose of infectious waste ●    Empty and decontaminate trash containers ●    Move, rearrange, and wipe down equipment ●    Mix or blend routine cleaning solutions to proper concentrations ●    Clean floors using industrial-size mops, machines, or power washer ●    Sweep sidewalks and tiled surfaces ●    Report minor building or equipment repair needs to supervisor Farmingdale Meat Market, Inc. reserves the right to add or change duties at any time Qualifications ●    High school diploma or equivalent ●    Ability to read and write ●    Basic mathematical skills ●    Experience in operation of warehouse equipment preferred Skills ●    Bilingual a plus ●    Active listening ●    Sit, stand, walk for prolonged periods of time ●    Lift up to 50 lbs ●    Carry up to 50 lbs ●    Push, pull, reach and bend FARMINGDALE MEAT MARKET, INC. is an equal opportunity employer.
