POSITION SUMMARY: Assist all NY LiDestri facilities with training and staffing needs due to their proficiency in a majority of the operation aspects DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Familiar with the majority of production equipment and processes; * Ensure all products exiting production line meet customer and product requirements; * Validate correct materials are being utilized; * Adhere to all quality standards and policies; * Ensure finished product is transported/loaded correctly; * Identify noticeable defects in incoming & outgoing products; * Must be flexible in availability to work various shifts and/or facilities; * Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: * High School Diploma or GED, extensive experience in a manufacturing facility; * Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots); * Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning; * Ability to use various hand tools (RF scanner guns, can openers, knifes and scales); * Previous experience as a machine operator, QC Technician and a forklift operator; * May be required to travel between facilities. WORKING CONDITIONS: * Constant exposure to extreme loud noises; * Constant standing and moving by foot; * Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment; * Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts / conveyors; * Frequent lifting/carrying 50 pounds; * Potential exposure to caustic chemicals.
