SUMMARY:

A licensed cannabis producer in Quebec is seeking a Sanitation Lead to oversee sanitation operations within their production facility. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership capabilities, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining high cleanliness and compliance standards. The successful candidate will manage a small team, maintain sanitation inventory, and develop and enforce sanitation SOPs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2–3+ years of experience in sanitation roles within a manufacturing or production environment; cannabis experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience supervising or leading a team.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GPP, or HACCP standards.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in French; English is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Sanitation Management:
  • Develop and implement sanitation protocols to maintain facility-wide hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal policies and Health Canada regulations.
  • Coordinate sanitation schedules to align with production timelines and minimize disruptions.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and support a team of 2–3 sanitation staff.
  • Train team members on sanitation procedures and safety protocols.
  • Conduct performance reviews and coach team members to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Inventory Control:
  • Manage inventory of sanitation supplies and PPE.
  • Monitor usage and reorder supplies as needed to avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Track costs and contribute to budget planning for sanitation-related expenses.
  • SOP Development:
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures related to sanitation and hygiene.
  • Ensure SOPs reflect current regulatory requirements and operational needs.
  • Train staff on new or updated procedures and ensure documentation is properly maintained.
