Description

Position Title: Plant Sanitation (4) 10-hour shifts: Fridays - Mondays 6am to 4:30pm
Department: Production/Sanitation
Wage Rate: 19.24 $/hr.
Seeking inclusive and committed Sanitation employee who will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
As a Sanitation employee, you can expect to work on your feet the entirety of your shift near large equipment, and within a loud and busy manufacturing environment. We wear protective equipment, and we squeeze, crawl, and climb wherever we need to go to make sure a job is done correctly. While we want everyone to feel comfortable, our ability to control the temperature is limited. Working conditions are impacted by seasons and the weather.

Sanitation employee tasks include:

  • Support and report any concerns related to food safety and product quality to FSQA.
  • Disassembling and cleaning the equipment with chemicals necessary for manufacturing products.
  • Utilizing ladders and lifts to work at heights and inspecting equipment with a headlamp to verify successful cleaning.
  • Climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, stooping, kneeling, stretching, and working in tight spaces for extended periods of time, necessary to complete detailed cleaning.
  • Willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to ensure safety.
  • Wiping down conveyors, cleaning other manufacturing equipment, and general cleaning in/around the plant.
  • Detailed cleaning of equipment with provided tools, including scrub pads, brushes, air wands, vacuums, and paper towels.
  • Reading and utilizing checklists to ensure compliance with validated sanitation operating procedures.
  • Working independently and with other team members.
  • Always work in the most effective and efficient manner.
  • Follow established rules of conduct.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You can work all weekends and some holidays depending on operational needs.
  • You can climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Working at heights using ladders or lifts to access areas of the plant
  • You can lift 60 lbs. on a routine basis.
  • You are willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

In the role of Sanitation, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment within our facilities. Your core responsibilities will include industrial cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Your janitorial and custodial experience, along with skills in food production and manufacturing, will be vital in supporting our operations. Additionally, your ability to perform heavy lifting and manage commercial cleaning tasks will contribute significantly to the overall efficiency and hygiene of our workplace.
