New Horizons Baking Company has been in operation since 1967. We produce ready to eat hamburger buns and English muffins for some of the most iconic brands. We currently serve over 2,000 quick service restaurants across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Western Pennsylvania as well as national retail and sandwich makers!

JOB SUMMARY

Cleans equipment, utensils, walls, floors, ceilings and exterior grounds of the facility.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for disassembling, cleaning and re-assembling all equipment assigned.
• Maintaining good housekeeping in work area and adjoining areas at all times.
• Maintaining good safety practices at all times.
• Maintaining facility in compliance with all internal and external requirements to produce safe, legal and quality food.
• May be responsible for checking and maintaining interior and external pest control devices.

ABILITIES REQUIRED

Have the ability to perform all jobs in Muffin and/or Bun make-up. Comfortable with heights. Able to lift 50 pounds. Able to stand for 8 hours a day. Able to communicate with other employees. Able to follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES RELATING TO FOOD SAFETY, LEGALITY AND QUALITY

• Properly uses cleaning chemicals as specified on manufacturers label
• Properly reads, comprehends and completes required forms
• Conducts post cleaning evaluations to ensure equipment is ready for production
• Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety, legality and quality problems from occurring.
• Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the approved GFSI certification standard and other third-party audits.
