JOB SUMMARY

This position supervises and mentors the sanitation staff and is accountable for the cleanliness of all processing equipment and production areas. This is a hands-on role which supports the team in the day to day activities on the floor, requiring an individual who can think on his/her feet and manage in a constantly evolving environment and work well under pressure.

QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science or a similar field.
  • Previous experience as a sanitation supervisor.
  • Extensive knowledge of the food industry.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced managerial skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to design and implement training programs.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and plan sanitation procedures and program
  • Ensure the cleanliness of equipment, interior and exterior environment (floors, walls, ceiling, drains, warehouse, roof and surrounding) before production – Act as sanitation associate when needed.
  • Schedule, supervise and train sanitation staffs
  • Develop and held accountable for Sanitation KPIs
  • Monitors the daily activities of assigned staff, providing instructions and performance feedback to ensure that productivity and quality objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinates with both QA and Production departments to ensure successful audit reviews by overseeing cleanliness standards
  • Identifies and resolves process and equipment problems, using available resources to maintain sanitation, productivity and quality levels.
  • Implements approaches to improve quality and productivity by developing new ideas, improving processes, and planning for upcoming equipment or process changes.
  • Develops practices that are aligned with SOPs; and creates new policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure “audit ready” facility at all time
  • Performs security checks (Production Plant / Warehouse) in conjunction with security team
