REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of experience in sanitation within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and food safety regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of sanitation chemicals and SDS
  • 1–3 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Direct sanitation crew and oversee sanitation programs for the plant.
  • Supervise, schedule, and train sanitation employees to meet operational standards.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections as required.
  • Ensure compliance with SQF, OSHA, and GMP guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed sanitation records and reports.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production to ensure effective sanitation processes and minimal production downtime.
  • Investigate sanitation-related deviations and corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to foster a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and internal food safety meetings.
  • Monitor and report on food safety compliance and facility security.
  • Follow all food safety SOP’s and GMP’s
  • Attention to details and hands on are essential
  • Must be able to perform physical task for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
  • Must be able to maintain sanitation levels while under stressful conditions and limitations in time, equipment supplies and labor
  • Ability to accept continuous improvement
  • Flexible to work any shift required
  • Process strong basic math skills, computer skills.
  • Stronger ability to work in a team atmosphere and provide the essential leadership for the team to meet/exceed.
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
