QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a sanitation role is preferred.
• Flexibility in working various days, shifts, as per sanitation requirements and schedule.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment, standing for long periods of time, lifting 50 lbs. at times throughout the shift.
• Ability to read, write, follow instruction, and communicate in English.
• Strong attention to detail, proper work procedures and working safely in a production environment.
• A willingness to collaborate and contribute ideas to improve team performance.
• WHMIS chemical safety training/knowledge is an asset.
• Punctuality and good attendance are mandatory.

• Follow lists of instructions accurately for everyday duties
• Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, machines and equipment.
• Wash walls and glass and remove rubbish found around the facility.
• Communicate effectively and follow Quality Assurance procedures.
• Must be physically fit to perform job duties as work requires bending, twisting, kneeling and lifting of the body.
• Sanitize walls, machines, and equipment.
• Follow company sanitation booklet which provides an accurate way to mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions.
• Operate and maintain industrial vacuum cleaners, power sweeper and polishing machines.
