POSITION OVERVIEW

Cambridge Treats is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our growing pet food manufacturing team. This role is critical to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping production areas spotless and supports the team in delivering high-quality products for pets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior janitorial, sanitation, or industrial cleaning experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe handling of chemicals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols consistently.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physically able to lift to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Shift is a day shift from Monday to Friday but candidates must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, or overtime if required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of production areas, offices, lunchrooms, and restrooms.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash floors to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Empty garbage bins and recycling containers throughout the facility.
  • Clean and sanitize high-touch areas (e.g., door handles, handrails, time clocks).
  • Assist with equipment sanitation and deep-cleaning tasks during production shutdowns.
  • Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report needs to supervisor.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.
  • Immediately report maintenance or safety concerns, such as spills or hazards.
  • Perform minor building maintenance tasks if required, such as changing lightbulbs, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
