Focus Systems is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support Core Banking Solutions and enterprise SAP development initiatives.

Key Details

• Location: Hybrid / Remote within Canada

• If Regina-based: 60% onsite

• If Outside Regina: Fully remote within Canada

• Contract: August 31, 2026 – August 30, 2027 (with potential extension)

Role Overview

The SAP ABAP Developer will support Core Banking Solutions through day-to-day and strategic ABAP development activities, with a focus on CML/CMS/HANA-related business processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with the development team, participate in Scrum activities, and develop high-quality, testable ABAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support object-oriented SAP ABAP solutions

• Support CML/CMS/HANA-related business processes

• Develop unit tests and testable ABAP code

• Troubleshoot and enhance existing SAP applications

• Support day-to-day and strategic development initiatives

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and team delivery activities

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum five (5) years of SAP ABAP object-oriented development experience

• ABAP training and/or certification

• Strong ABAP Test Driven Development (TDD) experience

• Experience developing unit tests within ABAP code

• Ability to design and write maintainable, testable ABAP solutions

• Completion of the OpenSAP “Writing Testable Code” course

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments

Preferred Experience & Assets

• Experience with SAP CML/CMS modules

• ABAP development experience on NetWeaver 7.0

• HANA Classic modelling/development experience

• Experience with Run My Jobs
