Job Title: SAP Central Finance (CFIN) Consultant – Functional Data Validation & AIF Error Triage (Mock Cycles)
Location: 100% Remote
About the Role
We need an SAP Finance/CFIN specialist to support multiple mock conversion cycles. Your primary focus will be functional data validation (FI/CO) and Application Interface Framework (AIF) error handling/triage to ensure clean, reconcilable data loads into Central Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate FI/CO data objects during mock loads (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA, CO-OM) and reconcile source vs. CFIN results.
• Monitor, analyze, and triage AIF errors; drive root-cause resolution with functional and technical teams.
• Define/execute test scripts for data validation, posting logic, and document flows.
• Partner with conversion, SLT/replication, and master data teams to resolve mapping and transformation issues.
• Document defects, resolutions, and validation steps; maintain playbooks/checklists for subsequent mocks.
• Provide cutover input and support readiness activities for future integration tests and go-live.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years SAP FI/CO; 2+ years hands-on SAP Central Finance implementation/support.
• Demonstrated experience with Functional Data Validation during conversions/mocks.
• Deep knowledge of SAP AIF (monitoring, error handling, reprocessing).
• Strong understanding of source ECC/S/4 to CFIN document flows, mapping, and reconciliation.
• Excellent communication & problem-solving skills in fast-paced project environments.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with SLT replication, MDG, and data migration tools.
• Exposure to S/4HANA Finance innovations (Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting).
• Prior work in multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
• Consulting background with agile delivery.

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in chasing down data issues.
• Comfortable presenting findings to finance and IT stakeholders.
• Able to create clear documentation and reusable validation templates.
