Position Summary
The SAP Center of Excellence (COE) Sr. Analyst is a highly experienced IT SAP-FICO technical / functional professional responsible for providing guidance and delivery of key SAP-FICO initiatives (including implementations, enhancements, and AMS support) in an S/4HANA (version 2023) environment. The selected candidate has demonstrated expertise in delivering for these initiatives optimized S/4HANA functionality solutions aligned to business processes, strategic goals, and system best practices. The SAP COE Sr. Analyst will have extensive hands-on applied knowledge and experience in all SAP S/4HANA FICO modules. This role requires collaboration within and across IT and Business stakeholders and teams to ensure S/4HANA FICO functionality is optimally leveraged in business operations.

Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Assist in effectively running and maintaining the overall SAP S/4HANA solution through a holistic lens on SAP-FICO design integrity, best practices, and system stability, scalability, and sustainability
  • Provide service excellence in SAP-FICO incident support (research, root cause analysis, resolution, end-user training, etc) as measured by understanding of the current solution design, overall SAP S/4HANA functionality / capabilities, and resolution within defined internal SLA’s, and ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks to the SAP system (such as performance issues)
  • Active involvement in SAP S/4HANA full-SDLC implementations of FICO functionality for remaining plants and other locations to complete a key goal of one common SAP ERP platform
  • Research, propose, define, and implement broad FICO solutions for enhancement requests - maximizing use of available SAP (S/4HANA version 2023) functionality and non-SAP integrated functionality - limiting complexity and utilizing standard functionality where possible while effectively and efficiently supporting business needs and objectives
  • Drive an optimization and continuous improvement mindset by staying current with new SAP and related third-party technologies, innovations, and enterprise architecture trends, and by partnering with IT and Business teams and external partners to identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for system advancements
  • Support building a high-performing SAP CoE organization by providing process, functional, and/or technical guidance and training to team members, project teams, users, and key stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

Education and Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10+ years progressive S/4HANA hands-on full SDLC experience with SAP-FICO in complex midsize-to-large global companies – including implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and support responsibilities. Required SDLC experience includes fit/gap requirements gathering and sign-off, research, writing configuration specification documents, configuration, hypercare, and ongoing support activities related to FICO functionality
  • Demonstrated progressively-complex S/4HANA hands-on FICO AMS support experience must include 7+ years of revaluation and translation, international intercompany sales, product costing, and customer invoice creation and billing in complex global companies
  • 7+ years end-user training experience
  • 7+ years experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • 10+ years S/4HANA FICO experience – a demonstrated go-to resident expert
  • 7+ years S/4HANA Fiori experience – transaction tiles and reports
  • Variety of interface experience between SAP and non-SAP FICO applications
  • Excellent creative learning and research skills; an out-of-the-box thinker
  • Strong familiarity with ITIL

Preferred Qualifications

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • 7+ years of SAP S/4HANA version 2023 experience highly preferred
  • Strong cross-functional hands-on SAP experience outside of FICO highly preferred
  • 5+ years of third-party, non-SAP FICO applications experience highly preferred
  • Desire and ability to learn and be involved in other SAP modules beyond FICO

OTHER SKILLS

  • Comfortable making well-informed, calculated risks and transparently sharing opportunities, options, and risks for broader visibility and decision making

Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Minimal travel – 5- 10%
