Responsibilities

As SAP Developer - Corporate Applications, you will be responsible for providing technical and development support for Ausgrid’s SAP landscape. In line with Ausgrid’s “One Team” approach to IT support, this role requires close collaboration with the Application Management Services (AMS) partner to ensure seamless service delivery to business users.
Reporting to the Product Manager, the SAP Developer Corporate will work to build strong relationships with business stakeholders, gain a deep understanding of their processes, and contribute proactive ideas and solutions to achieve desired business outcomes. These ideas will then be developed into functional products.
This role will primarily focus on developing solutions for business areas such as finance, materials management, asset management, and health & safety. In addition, you will assist business analysts in creating business cases to secure development funding, collaborate with key ICT stakeholders and the AMS partner to optimise application solutions, and support ICT project activities.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead and collaborate with business analysts to define and refine business processes, ensuring that ideas are transformed into clear, actionable requirements for SAP solution development and implementation.
  • Proactively contribute your SAP expertise to support business analysts in delivering innovative solutions, using your technical knowledge to drive impactful business outcomes.
  • Work with cutting-edge technology by adopting leading practices in solution design, partnering with AMS, internal architects and key ICT stakeholders to create optimal and scalable SAP application solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality development by reviewing and providing quality assurance for functional specifications, ensuring they align with business needs and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to project success by providing accurate development task estimates, timelines, and progress reports throughout the planning, scheduling, and execution phases of ICT projects.
  • Support forward-thinking solutions by assisting business analysts in planning and prioritising future enhancements, ensuring that releases are optimised for maximum business value with minimal disruption.
